We are seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer to support the design, analysis, and implementation of cooling, heating, ventilation for our nuclear projects. This position offers growth opportunities between levels III-IV based on experience and expertise.

Working under general to broad supervision, you will perform complex HVAC engineering assignments in system design, analysis, and implementation. The role involves providing advanced technical guidance for nuclear facility environmental control regarding HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design of complex HVAC systems for nuclear facilities
  • Develop technical specifications and system descriptions
  • Analyze system performance and efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear HVAC requirements
  • Review and approve HVAC calculations and drawings
  • Develop solutions for complex HVAC engineering problems
  • Guide and review work of junior engineers
  • Interface with cross-functional teams and regulatory bodies
  • Research and assess best practices in HVAC applications

 

Skills and Qualifications (internal)

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this   opportunity.  Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher-level position.

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering
  • Level III: 3-5 years of HVAC experience
  • Level IV: 5-7 years of HVAC experience
  • PE license preferred
  • MS may substitute for 1-2 years of experience

 

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles and standards
  • Experience with nuclear HVAC requirements
  • Proficiency in HVAC calculation software
  • Understanding of building automation systems
  • Experience with quality assurance requirements
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency and sustainability practices
  • Familiarity with project management principles

Please Note: The provided salary information is a guideline. Your offered salary is based upon experience, qualifications, geographic location, as well as market and business considerations.

Salary range annually: $95-$125K
