In this role, you’ll perform and ensure the accuracy of essential Mill and Environmental assays, support equipment maintenance, and support safe lab operations. Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth lab operations. We welcome candidates with a range of experience levels, from junior to senior. Responsibilities include:
· Perform routine Mill and Environmental assays in accordance with established test procedures in an accurate and timely fashion
· Ensure safety and hygiene standards and conditions are maintained in the appropriate area
· Responsible for equipment operation, maintenance and housekeeping; perform minor maintenance orientated tasks
· Maintain appropriate and accurate records of analysis, equipment condition, and calibration
· Alert lab supervision of any irregularities which may have an effect on analytical accuracy, sample throughput, and instrument operation
· Effectively work and communicate with the supervisor, laboratory technicians, mill personnel, and cross shift.
· Carry out other procedures and assignments as required with supervision
· Troubleshoot problem areas, confirm analytical accuracy, and perform instrument calibration under the direction of the chemist

Qualities and Skills, we’re seeking:
· Graduate of a recognized Chemical Laboratory Technology program or a University degree in Chemistry
· 5+ years of laboratory experience is preferred
· Experience with XRF, ICP-MS and HPLC is considered an asset
· Preference will be given to qualified Residents of Saskatchewan’s North (RSN)
Work Location & Schedule:
· McClean Lake
· 14 day in/ 14 day out rotating schedule
· Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside of normal working hours may be required
