Working under broad supervision, you will oversee and manage construction activities within our nuclear projects, specifically leading an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) company. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams to align project goals and timelines.
  • Support the EPC to manage complex schedules for procurement, work breakdowns, and cost estimates
  • Monitor construction progress and quality, addressing any issues that arise in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and safety protocols.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare and present regular project updates and reports to senior management.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Partner with senior management in contract development and management
  • Develop design-construction interfaces and perform constructability reviews
  • Manage and enhance the construction Lessons Learned program
  • Serve as key liaison between engineering, procurement, and subcontractors

Skills and Qualifications (internal)

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this   opportunity.  Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher-level position.

Required Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Engineering, Construction Management,
    Building Technology, or equivalent experience
  • Level III: 4-6 years of engineering experience
  • Level IV: 6-8 years of engineering experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in nuclear plant construction

 

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Advanced proficiency in PC-based applications, particularly MS Office suite
  • Expert knowledge of P6 or equivalent project management software
  • Advanced experience with VPD, PDMS, or other advanced 3-D modeling tools
  • Comprehensive knowledge of welding, machining, photogrammetry, NDE, and piping fabrication
  • Strong background in cost-benefit analysis

Professional Skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including advanced technical writing
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management
  • Proven ability to manage changing priorities and handle complex issues
  • Outstanding teamwork and collaboration capabilities
  • Extensive experience working with clients and consultants
     

Please Note: The provided salary information is a guideline. Your offered salary is based upon experience, qualifications, geographic location, as well as well as market and business considerations.

Salary range annually: $150-$190K
