In this dynamic role, you’ll be at the heart of safety, efficiency, and innovation. As a leader, you will guide and support your planning team with a focus on ensuring every task is completed safely and effectively. Your understanding of industrial maintenance will help you manage everything from reactive to predictive maintenance, ensuring equipment runs smoothly and reliably. You’ll take ownership of evaluating new equipment, develop inventory strategies, and lead change management efforts, all while exploring cost-effective solutions. You’ll manage budgets, optimize maintenance and inventory costs, and have to opportunity to mentor and inspire a team. If you are excited for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply!

 

Responsibilities include: 

·         Make safety the top priority in every task or action taken by you and your team

·         Provide leadership and guidance to the planning group, ensuring all work is planned properly, efficiently and thoroughly

·         Must have a clear understanding of industrial maintenance fundamentals and the risks and benefits of reactive, preventative and predictive maintenance

·         Responsible for developing and maintaining the planning vision, strategies, principles and techniques

·         Ensure new equipment is evaluated for maintenance stock inventory requirements, and entered into the equipment database complete with a bill of materials (SAP)

·         Provide maximum equipment and mine operability by the development and use of a reliability maintenance approach

·         Lead the change management process, including recognizing, documenting, designing, implementing and validating changes

·         Lead projects, including guiding planners, managing vendor contracts, and overseeing project implementation

·         Evaluate trends and identify cost saving opportunities through equipment modifications, material substitutions, etc.

·         Routinely review and monitor maintenance costs, and assist with annual budget creation

·         Evaluate, monitor and establish optimal warehouse inventory

·         Advise management on planning performance through the use of key point indicators (KPI)

·         Embrace and support Operational Excellence efforts and OE Culture

Skills and Qualifications (internal)

Skills and Qualifications for the position include:

·         5 years of engineering or planning supervision experience

Preference will be given to those with industrial experience
·         Familiarity or capability of learning the SAP PM and MM modules

·         Effective planning and organizational skills

·         Co-ordinate activities, information, materials or resources within own area of responsibility to meet deadlines

·         Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

·         Ability to manage competing priorities in a demanding environment

·         Highly organized with an emphasis for detail

 

Work Location & Schedule: 

·         McClean Lake

·         14 day in/ 14 day out rotating schedule

·         Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside of normal working hours may be required

·         Travel day may change depending on maintenance needs
