During your time as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of a 2-year graduate scheme in which your employment will continue thereafter. Your work here will have a real impact on making our world safer both for now and for future generations to come. This early exposure will equip you with the breadth of knowledge to ensure you start off with a strong footing in your career with us.
As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will support the design development of decommissioning strategies, providing technical mechanical engineering expertise across the full asset life cycle and develop solutions for turnkey projects. There may be an opportunity to do secondments with other disciplines that you are interested in too.
As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer at Orano Limited, some of the specialist tasks you could be involved producing are:
3D modelling
Develop concept design ideas into viable solutions
2D detail design drawings – to BS8888
Collaborative working with other disciplines/Clients
Mechanical Handling/Flow diagrams
Production of engineering specifications and documentation
Site visits (project dependent international travel)
Mechanical engineering calculations
Working closely with Mechanical Engineers
Working with/to engineering (British and international) design standards and codes
IMechE support and mentoring
Education
Min 2:1 MEng (Hons) / MSc in a Mechanical/Nuclear Engineering field
Skills
Demonstrative initiative on moderate problem solving within assigned tasks.
Good verbal and written communication skills.

Enthusiastic and keen to learn.
This position is based at our Warrington office. It is a full- time 37 hour position with 2 days minimum in the office.

Once applied and selected you will go through the 1st stage which will be a form for you to fill out. if successful following this you will be contacted to attend an assessment day between February - April 2026.
